1. Do not talk when Mr. Wage is talking. You might miss something, and you could keep people around you from hearing something important.
2. Stay in your assigned seat unless Mr. Wage lets you change seats. Ask first for permission.
3. Use a hall pass when leaving the room. Ask first for permission.
4. Don't change your computer's desktop pattern, screen saver, pointer, or theme. Mr. Wage knows this is fun, but sometimes students spend too much time with this and not enough time on their work.
5. Internet chatting, emailing, and "blogging" are not allowed unless related to school and set up by Mr. Wage. Again, he knows this is fun, but these are things to do at home.
6. Do not fill out and send Internet forms that ask for your name, home address, or email address. This is against school policy.
7. Do not download Internet files and programs unless approved by Mr. Wage. Downloading can bring viruses and other problems into your computer.
8. Ask for permission before printing. Only printing that is for a school class is allowed.
9. Do not print entire web pages unless approved. Instead, copy the text you want and paste it into Microsoft Word. We need to conserve printer toner (ink.) Ask Mr. Wage for help.
10. If you want to do keyboarding at home and bring it to school on a floppy disk, save your homework in ".rtf" format. Ask Mr. Wage for help.
11. Don't bother other students when they are working.
12. Sometimes we will have reward time for computer and Internet fun, but only when ALL ASSIGNMENTS ARE DONE.
Computer Classroom Procedures
Classroom Rules:
1. Be on time - you must be sitting quietly and working on your bell assignment when the bell rings. 2. Listen to instructions and then work quietly. 3. Stay on task. 4. Be polite and considerate--keep your hands to yourself, no name calling, say please and thank you, and don't interrupt. 5. Be respectful to classmates, materials, and teachers.
Consequences:
1. Verbal Warning. 2. Detention and lost daily points. 3. Office and no credit given.
Tardy Policy:
A student not present for any part of the first 5 minutes of any class, any period, will be counted "tardy." After 5 minutes the student will be counted absent. Students will be allowed 3 tardies per class per semester. For every tardy after the third, teachers are to assign detention. Habitual tardies (six) will be referred to the Principal. When a student has reached seven tardies, the student will be given ISS or OSS, depending on previous incidents.
Computer Expectations:
1. Computers are to remain on during the school day, with the last period of the day shutting down.
2. Computers locked during direction/instruction time.
